31 Days of Self-Esteem – Day 21 – Dopamine Rush!

Once again, we arrive at the end of a week! Successful in our walk through the first three weeks of the year, it’s time to feel the rush of accomplishment. Do something to reward yourself. Do something to celebrate. There is science behind reward.

Reward is a crucial step in the habit cycle. (or the changing habit cycle) If we skip this step, the loop is broken and the habit never fully sets.

I rewarded myself with a self-care day. I enjoyed family-time, talked with friends, sat in the sunshine for my vitamin D, lounged in the tub and ate good food.

Even if this is your first time reading the 31 Days of Self-Esteem or the 21st….You have successfully navigated the first three weeks of the year!
